Swine Flu brought a Horrible Chest Congestion That Won't Go Away?

Question:
4 weeks ago I woke up with severe chest congestion. I couldn't breathe
I went to the doctor for it, they told me I had H1N1
They gave me a breathing treatment, a cocktail shot and prescriptions for Tamiflu
I took my meds and got over the flu in 4 days. The chest congestion had also gone away.
I've had a cough for about the last 2 weeks.
This past week has become severe again. Thursday and Friday felt as if i was breathing with half a lung.

I've never had trouble breathing ever, and it's upsetting to have gotten swine flu in the first place. I've been using Vicks vapor rub, cough drops and tea.
The doctor's is my last resort, I can't afford it and don't want ER debt. I work with kids and catch everything so I visit my doctor almost every other month. Anyone have any suggestions before I have to head to the doctors?
Answer:
It sounds like you have probably developed a lung infection. Bronchitis or most likely pneumonia. You don't want to let that go. Definitely check in with your doc or drop by an urgent care clinic. You probably need a chest xray.

Is tamiflu tablets safe?

Question:
my little boy is 6 year old doctor gave him tamifle tablets are they safe to use
Answer:
There is no evidence that Tamiflu is unsafe. The drug commonly causes vomiting but it should reduce the risk of secondary complications and general severity of the virus. Source(s): RN
