Question:
I live in Colorado, and the town I'm in has pretty much been bombarded with swine flu. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant, and I'm sure it's just a matter of time before someone brings it into my house. I'm pretty worried about it. Since I'm pregnant, I've heard that I'm considered "high risk" for swine flu complications. Should I go to the doctor and ask to get Tamiflu or Relenza now, or wait and see if I start feeling sick?
Answer:
I don't think a doctor will give you anything until you actuall catch swine flu. Yes pregnant women are considerd high risk but it's the same with any type of illness.
I would try not to worry about it and just keep clean. Don't let anyone in your house that has come into contact with swine flu. Swine flu isn't as bad as normal flu it's just got more hyp about it at the moment.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy
